Job Description

The Select Board is seeking applications for the following AHT position(s)

One (1) member term to end on April 30, 2028

One (1) member term to end on April 30, 2029

(No Incumbents for either position)

The purpose of the Trust shall be to provide for the preservation and creation of affordable housing in the Town of Winchester for the benefit of low and moderate income households.

There shall be a Board of Trustees consisting of not less than five and not more than nine Trustees. At least one of the Trustees shall be a member of the Select Board, one of the Trustees shall be appointed by the Winchester Housing Partnership Board and one of the Trustees shall be the Town Manager. The remaining Trustees shall be appointed by the Select Board.


The Trustees, with the exception of the Town Manager, shall be appointed for a three year term, such term to end on April 30 of the expiration year or at such time as a successor is appointed, should said appointment be delayed past April 30. Two of the initial Trustee appointments shall be for a term of one year. Trustees may be appointed for no more than five consecutive terms.

In the event of a vacancy in the position of Trustee, the appointment shall be made in the same manner as the original appointment.

All Trustees must be current residents of Winchester upon initial appointment with the exception of the Town Manager. Any Trustee who ceases to be a resident of the Town of Winchester shall promptly provide a written notification of the change in residence to the Trust and to the Town Clerk. Said Trustee may continue to serve with the majority approval of the remaining Trustees, and may be reappointed for one additional term.
