18 Month Contract

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cultural resource management, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Preferred: 5 years of related experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience planning, directing, conducting, reviewing, and/or reporting on archaeological investigations and cultural resource surveys.
• Strong understanding of cultural resource compliance requirements, archaeological methodologies, and reporting standards.
• Experience conducting background research, cultural resource screening, and field investigations.
• Working knowledge of GIS applications and mapping tools.
• Strong report writing, technical review, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with:
• Project managers
• Engineers
• Legal counsel
• Regulatory agencies
• Third-party consultants and stakeholders
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience that provide the required knowledge and skills may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting utility, infrastructure, transportation, or environmental projects.
• Familiarity with federal and state cultural resource regulations and compliance processes.
• Experience coordinating with regulatory agencies and tribal representatives.
• Knowledge of GIS-based cultural resource analysis and spatial data management.
• Supervisory or project leadership experience within consulting or environmental services environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee archaeological and cultural resource surveys, investigations, and assessments.
• Prepare, review, and manage technical reports and compliance documentation.
• Perform records reviews, background research, and cultural resource screenings.
• Utilize GIS tools for mapping, data analysis, and project support activities.
• Coordinate with internal teams, regulatory agencies, consultants, and external stakeholders.
• Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable cultural resource management regulations and company standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and field teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cultural resource management practices and project delivery.
