DIESEL MECHANIC – Keep Our Fleet Running Smoothly!

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain luxury motorcoaches and fleet vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct comprehensive preventive maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and service engines, transmissions, electrical systems, HVAC, brakes, and other critical components.
• Utilize cutting-edge diagnostic tools and technology to improve efficiency and precision.

Supplemental Pay:

• $2,000 Sign-On Bonus for qualified mechanics.
• $2,000 Referral Bonus – Help us grow our team!
• A Sign-On bonus will be paid after 90 days and again after 9 months of employment. Please note that taxes will apply to the sign-on bonus.
• Monthly Tool Allowance
• Yearly Boot Allowance

Schedule:

• Monday- Sunday (Must be able to work weekends when needed)
• Overtime is required when needed
• 40-hour weekly guarantee– Job security you can count on

Position Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of diesel engines, automotive gas engines, brake systems (air & hydraulic), and electrical systems, along with general knowledge of any heavy equipment repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in a safe, efficient, and well-equipped work environment
• Diagnostics and repairs of diesel engines, automotive gas engines, powertrains, HVAC systems, steering systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, and brake systems
• Conduct DOT, BIT inspections, DVIR compliance, and CHP compliance repairs

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience working on diesel trucks, commercial buses or gas automotive engines
• Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes.
• Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
• Knowledge of heavy-duty diesel or gas automotive engines.
• Helpful to have: Technical degree in diesel or industrial technology
• Valid California driver’s license
• The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required.

Pay Rate:

• The hourly wage range that Lux Bus America reasonably expects to pay for the position is $35.00/hr.-$51.00/hr.
• Tech 1: $35.00/hr.-$38.00/hr.
• Tech 2: $38.00/hr.-$45.00/hr.
• Tech 3: $45.00/hr.-$51.00/hr .
