THE CASH APPLICATION COORDINATOR – CREDIT CARD ENHANCES THE COMPANY’S CASH FLOW BY SUPPORTING THE PROCESSING OF FUNDS RECEIVED FROM CUSTOMERS VIA CREDIT CARD AND OTHER PAYMENT METHODS. THIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPPORTING OFFSHORE RESOURCES TO ENSURE THE TIMELY AND ACCURATE HANDLING OF ALL INCOMING CUSTOMER CALLS RELATED TO CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS AND/OR CREDIT CARD INQUIRIES. THIS ROLE WILL SPEND APPROXIMATELY 10-15% OF THE TIME ON PHONES SUPPORTING ISSUES/INQUIRIES RELATED TO CUSTOMER CALLS, VOICEMAILS OR MAILBOX INQUIRIES ESCALATED BY OFFSHORE RESOURCES.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for supporting the offshore credit card team with incoming customer credit card payments, voicemails and mailbox inquiries that require next level review and/or assistance.
  • Research and process credit card charge backs, declines or disputes
  • Complete research and posting of unidentified customer payments
  • Work with IT, customers, sales, billing, credit and collections and offshore resources to research and resolve credit card processing issues.
  • Provide user support for customer payment portal to include new user setup, password resets and payment processing where needed
  • Maintain and update customer application instruction log and other working documents used by credit card team
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned

Required Skills

  • Able to consistently apply applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives when carrying out the duties of the job. 
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively across departments when completing assignments.
  • Must have strong organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload and make adjustment to meet business needs.
  • Able to apply a thorough knowledge of accounting techniques
  • Compile complex financial records and prepare routine financial reports or statements
  • Work independently and exercise judgment in completing assignments
  • Ability to meet deadlines in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Required Experience

High School disploma or equivalent

  • OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of work experience

Cash Application Processing for Credit Card payments or Accounts Receivables experience preferred

Must have advanced knowledge of technology to include computers and software programs such as MS Office or MAC word processing, spreadsheets or other programs specific to the job in order to complete job duties successfully.
