CLIMBER / ARBORIST

Role Purpose

The Climber / Arborist performs technical aerial tree work, including pruning and removals, while ensuring safety, precision, and quality workmanship.  If you do not have the required experience, please do not apply.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform tree climbing and aerial operations
• Use chainsaws aloft safely and efficiently
• Execute rigging and controlled lowering techniques
• Conduct pre-job tree and hazard assessments
• Maintain rescue readiness at all times
• Follow ANSI Z133 and company safety standards

Safety Expectations

• Maintain two tie-in points where required
• Follow saw handling and positioning rules
• Participate in aerial rescue drills and planning
• Maintain climbing gear inspection standards

Equipment Authorization

• Climbing systems and aerial devices
• Chainsaws aloft
• Rigging and lowering devices

Professional Standards

• High level of focus and discipline
• Calm, clear communication
• Commitment to quality cuts and clean work
• Ability to work well with others at all times
• Work in a team environment 

Advancement Path

Promotion to Crew Leader / Foreman based on leadership ability, consistency, and safety record.
