Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized Professional Staffing and Recruiting firm that is currently looking for Fire Alarm Designers. This is a contract to hire opportunity with a global leader in engineering and consulting out in Phoenix, Arizona. Responsibilities Lead and execute fire alarm and/or mass notification system design from concept through construction, including system layouts, device placement, riser diagrams, sequences of operation, and calculations (battery, voltage drop, etc.). Develop detailed, code-compliant fire alarm drawings, including shop drawings, specifications, and technical reports using REVIT, AutoCAD, and/or similar design industry tools. Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure life safety and fire code compliance. Conduct site assessments and field surveys to evaluate existing conditions and fire alarm installations. Prepare and review design, shop drawing, and construction submittals for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. Requirements Three (3) or more years of progressive experience in fire alarm system design, consulting, or inspection. Proficiency with REVIT, AutoCAD, or other industry design software. NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred; NICET Level II or higher is strongly preferred. Proficiency with ASPIRE software is a plus. Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes, life safety standards, and local jurisdictional requirements.
