Our client, a leading player in the logistics industry, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the warehouse team supporting efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Forklift Operator
Location: Ames, IA
Pay Range: $18.00 hour
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
What's the Job?
Load, unload and transfer merchandise to designated areas in accordance with training procedures.
Stock merchandise in the warehouse, utilizing equipment and lifting and carrying items to place on shelves.
Inspect merchandise for deficiencies or breakages prior to shipment or warehouse storage.
Record all merchandise discrepancies on appropriate paperwork.
Maintain a neat and orderly workplace at all times, including moving pallets, sweeping, and disposing of debris.
What's Needed?
No prior experience is required; we welcome entry-level candidates.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds consistently and up to 30 pounds occasionally throughout the day.
Strong commitment to following safety procedures and reporting any dangerous conditions to management.
Willingness to perform other related duties as assigned.
Availability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
