Janitorial/Industrial Cleaner

Location: Pendelton, SC

$13.00/Hour

1st Shift- Mon-Fri 6:30am - 2:30pm

Job Overview:

Play a pivotal role in maintaining the hygiene, safety, cleanliness and operational efficiency in an industrial manufacturing setting.

Job Responsibilities/Duties

Tank cleaning and pit cleaning
Duct cleaning
Operation of commercial pressure washing equipment
Deep cleaning and degreasing
Cleaning large machinery
Removing grease from equipment
Collecting reusable scrap for salvage and proper storage
Cleaning common areas (rooms, hallways, restrooms, etc.)
Polishing metalwork and removing dust, lint, oil, and grease from machinery and conveyors
Scrubbing processing tanks and vats
Transporting trash and waste to designated disposal areas
Cleaning screens and filters, operating floor scrubbers, and maintaining facility fixtures.
Perform heavy duty cleaning on machinery as needed.
Use a wide range of chemicals including solvents, detergents, degreasers and disinfectants on a daily basis.
Cleaning heavy duty grime, oil, grease and other contaminants typically found in production and machining processes.
Operating special high powered cleaning equipment as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Background Check and Drug Screen required.

Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job including standing, walking, bending, & climbing for the entirety of the shift.

Able to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.

Safely work with a wide variety of cleaning chemicals.

Be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, earplugs and steel toe or composite toe shoes for the entirety of the shift.

Adhere to dress code, including no sleeveless shirts or shorts.

Comply with company random searches on the presmises.
