Job Title: Organizational Change Management Consultant

Location: Remote but requires occasional onsite in Oakland, CA.

They are in an exciting period of technology transformation, having recently hired their first-ever CIO to drive a future-ready IT roadmap focused on cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, data governance, and AI adoption. IT professionals will find a purpose-driven environment where technology is a key enabler of compassionate, equitable care.

Compensation Expectation : $140,000 - $180,000

What You'll Do As an OCM Consultant:

  • Serve as the change management lead for multiple concurrent IT initiatives, ensuring a consistent, structured approach to change
  • Develop and execute comprehensive Prosci ADKAR®based change management plans, including stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, readiness assessments, and mitigation strategies
  • Partner with executive and functional sponsors to clarify change vision, build sponsorship capability, and provide ongoing coaching to reinforce effective sponsor behaviors
  • Translate complex IT and system changes into clear, peoplefocused messages that support awareness, desire, and adoption
  • Collaborate with Communications to define key messages, communication strategies, timing, and delivery channels aligned to ADKAR milestones
  • Partner with Training and business stakeholders to help design a practical, rolebased training approach that supports knowledge and ability
  • Actively support implementation activities, including facilitating change sessions, stakeholder meetings, workshops, and frontline engagement
  • Identify resistance risks and proactively design and implement strategies to address resistance and accelerate adoption
  • Track change effectiveness and adoption metrics; provide regular status updates, insights, and recommendations to project and leadership teams
  • Travel to client locations throughout the East Bay as needed to support inperson change activities, leadership engagement, and frontline adoption

Qualifications:

You could be a great fit if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Prosci Change Management Certification required
  • Demonstrated experience applying the ADKAR® methodology in complex, multistakeholder environments
  • 5+ years of hands-on change management experience supporting IT, digital, or systems implementations
  • Proven ability to operate at both a strategic planning level and a tactical execution level
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally within the East Bay as business needs require
