Position Title: Quarry Operator I

Department: Quarry Operations

Location: Baileyton, AL

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist in the extraction and processing of materials from the quarry.
• Operate basic quarry equipment such as loaders, drills, and crushers under supervision.
• Help with the maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas.
• Assist in loading materials into trucks for transport.
• Perform tasks related to site safety, including ensuring that safety protocols are followed.
• Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Maintain a high level of quality work at all times
• Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

• Ability to communicate and convey information effectively
• Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 75 pounds
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Previous experience in construction, mining, or heavy equipment operation (optional but beneficial).
• Knowledge of OSHA & MSHA Standards
• Dependable transportation
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as required
• Work weekends and overtime as needed
• Committed to attending work each day
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
