We are seeking a Safety Officer to advise and guide company management and field employees in maintaining compliance. The goal of the Safety Department is to create a zero‑injury working environment through knowledge, awareness and preparedness across the organization. Responsibilities Prepare and modify documents including presentations, reports, drafts, memos, and emails. Create and maintain spreadsheets for various projects in Microsoft Excel. Travel to job sites throughout the SoCal market as required. Assist with accident/incident investigations and documentation. Support project management in safety orientations and onboarding of union employees. Maintain current all required safety documents and literature. Compile Leading and Lagging Indicator reports. Manage 3rd‑party subcontractor safety programs. Administer employee safety incentive program. Provide administrative support to management. Assist with facility environmental program management. Manage content for the company safety website. Qualifications 1–3 years of construction safety experience. College degree in environmental health and safety (preferred but not required). Experience with union workforce. High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to recognize onsite risk factors and take appropriate action with firmness and tact. Understanding of the Company mission and values. Physical ability to lift 30 lbs, walk 4–6 flights of stairs daily, and walk continuously for 60 minutes. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Base salary: $70k–$90k per year.
