This role works closely with field teams, Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure safety expectations, OSHA compliance, training, documentation, and risk management processes are consistently implemented companywide.What You’ll Own:Key ResponsibilitiesSafety Program ManagementAssist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of company safety policies and proceduresMaintain and distribute standardized safety documentation, forms, and training materialsSupport companywide safety initiatives, campaigns, and annual Safety Week activitiesMonitor safety trends, recurring issues, and high-risk activities across projectsField Support & Jobsite OversightConduct jobsite safety visits and audits across active projectsVerify third-party safety inspectors are contracted and actively performing required project inspectionsReview third-party safety inspection reports and coordinate follow-up on identified deficiencies or corrective actionsReview Daily Job Logs (DJLs), safety observations, toolbox talks, and safety documentation for compliance and engagementAssist project teams with identifying and correcting unsafe conditions or behaviorsVerify required PPE, fall protection, housekeeping, excavation safety, scaffolding, and other OSHA-related requirements are being followedAssist with implementation of project-specific safety plans and jobsite safety rulesOSHA & Incident ManagementAssist project teams with OSHA reporting requirements and incident documentationCoordinate incident investigations and help identify root causes and corrective actionsMaintain records related to incidents, injuries, inspections, and corrective actionsSupport project teams during OSHA inspections or agency inquiriesTraining & CommunicationCoordinate and track OSHA 10/30 certifications and other required safety trainingDevelop and distribute toolbox talk topics and safety communicationsProvide guidance and support to Superintendents, Project Managers, and subcontractors regarding safety expectationsPromote consistent communication and engagement related to safety across all projectsCompliance & DocumentationMaintain organized safety records and ensure required documentation is completed and stored properlyReview project safety plans, subcontractor safety documentation, and related compliance itemsTrack corrective actions and follow-up items from inspections, audits, or incidentsAssist with maintaining compliance with OSHA and applicable state/local safety regulationsOperations & Procore CollaborationWork closely with the Operations team to improve consistency, communication, and accountability across projectsAssist with setup and maintenance of safety-related workflows, forms, and documentation processes within ProcoreReview DJLs companywide to help monitor safety engagement, documentation quality, and recurring field concernsSupport standardization of safety tracking, reporting, and operational workflows across projectsAssist project teams with proper documentation and communication of safety items within project management systemsExecutive Leadership SupportThe Safety Officer will regularly communicate with Executive Leadership regarding companywide safety performance, compliance risks, and operational safety concerns.Responsibilities include:Providing updates on significant incidents, violations, and recurring safety trendsAssisting leadership with risk management and compliance initiativesSupporting companywide safety goals and strategic initiativesHelping develop standardized procedures and accountability measuresAssisting with preparation for agency reviews, inspections, or auditsProviding recommendations for continuous improvement in safety and operationsWho You Are:Strong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work collaboratively with field teams, Operations, and Executive LeadershipStrong attention to detail and documentation managementAbility to identify risks and proactively problem-solveComfortable working in both office and field environmentsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyWhat You’ll Bring:OSHA 30 Certification preferredAdditional safety certifications are a plus5-10 years of construction safety, field operations, or construction management experience preferredExperience in multifamily, commercial, or large-scale construction projects preferredWorking knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standardsExperience with construction management software such as Procore preferredWhat You’ll Get:We offer competitive wages and annual bonus opportunities.
