Senior SAP Basis Consultant

We are seeking a Senior SAP Basis Consultant. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical authority for a global SAP ecosystem, leading the design, deployment, and optimization of complex landscapes on AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will own end-to-end lifecycle management (kernel upgrades, Support Package Stacks, enhancement packs), drive SAP HANA migrations and S/4HANA conversions (Brownfield/Greenfield), architect high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, and automate routine tasks using Ansible, Bash, or PowerShell. Additionally, you will lead system hardening, security auditing, manage the Transport Management System (CTS+), leverage SAP Solution Manager/Focused Run for proactive monitoring, act as the final escalation point for performance bottlenecks, and mentor junior consultants through Go-Live and Hypercare phases.

Role Summary: As a Senior SAP Basis Consultant, you will serve as the primary technical authority for our global SAP ecosystem. You will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of complex landscapes, ensuring maximum availability and peak performance. This role is a hybrid of traditional Basis administration and modern Cloud Engineering, requiring a deep understanding of how SAP interacts with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Landscape Architecture: Lead the end-to-end design and deployment of SAP environments. Own the lifecycle management including kernel upgrades, Support Package Stacks (SPS), and enhancement packs.
• Next-Gen Migrations: Drive SAP HANA migrations and complex S/4HANA conversions (Brownfield/Greenfield). Partner closely with DBA and Infrastructure teams to ensure data integrity during transitions.
• High Availability & Resiliency: Architect and validate mission-critical HA/DR (High Availability/Disaster Recovery) solutions. You are responsible for the "Always-On" strategy, including backup/restore testing and failover drills.
• Infrastructure Automation: Move beyond manual transactions. Utilize Ansible, Bash, or PowerShell to automate routine health checks, system copies, and environment refreshes.
• Security & Compliance: Lead system hardening and security auditing. Manage the Transport Management System (CTS+) and leverage SAP Solution Manager / Focused Run for proactive monitoring.
• Tier 3 Support & Mentorship: Act as the final escalation point for complex performance bottlenecks. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and mentor junior consultants through Go-Live and Hypercare phases.

Technical Requirements:

• Core Basis Mastery: Experience in SAP Basis administration across ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA.
• HANA Expertise: Deep knowledge of HANA 2.0 administration, including multi-tenant database containers (MDC) and performance tuning.
• Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience deploying and managing SAP workloads on Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Certification in a major cloud provider is highly preferred.
• Migration Toolkit: Proven experience with SWPM, SUM (DMO), and Migration Monitor.
• Operating Systems: Advanced proficiency in Linux (SUSE/RHEL) and Windows Server environments.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SAP Fiori configuration and troubleshooting. SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP S/4HANA System Administration. Knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) integration.
