Accountabilities

As a Senior Software Engineer - Hosted Web, you will take ownership of building, improving, and maintaining high-scale web applications while contributing to engineering practices and product innovation.

• Develop and maintain performant, reliable frontend systems and backend services supporting customer-facing web experiences.
• Build and deliver features throughout the full development lifecycle, from initial design and implementation to deployment and iteration.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Marketing, and engineering teams to create intuitive solutions centered around end-user needs.
• Drive architecture decisions by balancing scalability, simplicity, maintainability, and long-term technical strategy.
• Champion engineering best practices, including automated testing, code reviews, observability, clean architecture, and type-safe development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across the technology stack using monitoring and telemetry tools.
• Design and integrate APIs while contributing to systems built with modern web frameworks and service-oriented architectures.
• Experiment with AI-powered development tools and identify opportunities to improve engineering workflows and productivity.
• Mentor other engineers and help foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing engineering culture.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a senior software engineer with strong full-stack development experience, technical leadership abilities, and a passion for building scalable web applications.

• 5+ years of experience developing and supporting large-scale production web applications at a senior engineering level.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript and modern React, including experience with React Server Components and server-first development approaches.
• Deep experience with Next.js, particularly App Router, server actions, data fetching patterns, and client/server architecture.
• Experience designing and integrating APIs, working with microservices, and owning both frontend and backend development.
• Professional experience with .NET, C#, and AWS cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience implementing automated testing strategies, including unit and integration testing.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms such as New Relic or similar tools.
• Understanding of agile methodologies and software development lifecycle practices.
• Ability to analyze complex technical challenges, evaluate trade-offs, and make effective engineering decisions.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to enhance engineering productivity is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence technical direction.
