Laundry Attendant

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, transport, and sort soiled linens, towels, and rags for processing
• Operate washing machines and dryers, ensuring proper load sizes and cycle settings
• Load and unload laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Weigh, fold, and store clean linens, towels, and rags according to hotel standards
• Deliver clean linens to designated areas promptly and accurately
• Maintain the cleanliness of the laundry machinery and the surrounding area
• Clean dryer filters daily and perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment
• Iron linens and towels as per standard procedures, ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Stock linen carts and organize storage areas to ensure availability and accessibility
• Practice safe work habits at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment

Skills and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of laundry equipment operation and maintenance preferred.
• Ability to operate washers, dryers, irons, and other laundry machinery safely.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads.
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
