SAP BASIS Consultant to support SAP landscape operations, system administration, upgrades, monitoring, and production support across SAP environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on SAP BASIS expertise with experience in system performance tuning, transport management, installations, patching, and troubleshooting in complex SAP landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform SAP BASIS administration across DEV/QA/PRD environments.
• Monitor SAP systems for performance/availability and proactively resolve issues.
• Manage transport activities (STMS) and coordinate deployments.
• Perform system refreshes, client copies, backups/restores and DR support.
• Support SAP upgrades, kernel upgrades, support packs and patching.
• Coordinate SAP user/security administration with GRC/Security teams.
• Support SAP HANA coordination (monitoring + troubleshooting support).
• Manage background jobs, spool/printer issues, RFC connections and system parameters.
• Handle production incidents, root cause analysis (RCA) and stability improvements.
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks and BASIS documentation.
• Support go-live and hypercare activities.
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
• 9-12 years of SAP BASIS experience.
• Strong hands-on in:
o SAP BASIS Administration
o System monitoring & performance tuning
o STMS transport management
o Client copy / system refresh
o Upgrades / patching / kernel updates
• Strong production support and incident troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and client-facing experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-To-Haves)
• SAP S/4HANA BASIS experience
• SAP HANA monitoring exposure
• Fiori Administration / Web Dispatcher
• Solution Manager / ChaRM
• Cloud exposure (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• HA/DR setups, certificates, SAProuter, SSO
