Senior Life Safety Systems (LSS) Drafter & BIM Designer
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid) Industry: Industrial Design & Advanced Facilities
We don't just draw systems; we design the invisible shields that protect our clients' most vital assets. We are looking for a Senior LSS Drafter / BIM Designer who thrives on the complexity of large-scale industrial projects. In this role, you will be the bridge between conceptual engineering and physical reality, creating the 3D models that ensure safety and continuity for the heart of our clients' operations.
You will be a core member of our Life Safety Systems delivery team, transforming complex engineering requirements into precision 3D models.
- Model the Future: Use AutoCAD and Revit MEP to build intricate 3D model spaces, working in lockstep with architects and multi-discipline engineers.
- Coordinate Complexity: Deliver robust design packages that integrate Fire Alarm Detection, HPM Leak Detection, Toxic Gas Management, and Security/Intrusion systems.
- Innovate & Problem-Solve: Navigate the challenges of industrial-scale BIM, ensuring every layout is coordinated, compliant, and ready for execution.
- Drive Excellence: Act as a technical anchor within the drafting team, ensuring our BIM deliverables meet the highest standards of accuracy and sophistication.
We are looking for a technical powerhouse who understands that Life Safety is as much about the details in the code as it is about the lines in the model.
- Experience: 3-5 years of dedicated systems design experience, specifically within industrial environments.
- Technical Mastery: High proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD. An Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) credential or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Code Fluency: You have a working knowledge of the "Big Four": NFPA 70, 72, 101, and IBC/IFC. You understand how these codes translate into physical design.
- System Knowledge: You are familiar with Fire/Life Safety hardware and the latest manufacturer equipment.
